Lanseria Airport
The latest thinking in modern airport design was incorporated to create a set of aesthetically pleasing buildings defined by strong shapes with reference to aerodynamic elements, featuring large glazed panels for maximum natural light penetration and visibility.
The design of the new terminal building has incorporated the latest in sound-proofing technology so as to minimise external aircraft noise in the building.
Durable and maintenance-free finishes add practicality to the aesthetics with the porcelain tile cladding on the buildings and zincalum sheet covering for the roofs.
The ground level comprises private and business class departure lounges, world-class check-in counters, superior retail outlets and workshops. On the first floor area are a new restaurant, modern general departure lounges, office space and a terrace used for corporate entertainment. The mezzanine area provides additional lounges and office suites, while the airport's administration is located on the second floor.
During 2016 the International Terminal was enlarged to provide for scheduled international flights.
