Dunbrook Place
Old-world Mexican architecture inspired this office development in the tree-lined and well-established suburb of Brooklyn. Some elements from this narrative that informed the design are a courtyard with fountain as focal point, covered verandahs, shuttered windows, pigmented plaster finish and selected water-blasted masonry walls.
The courtyard is defined by two office blocks and the approach leading from an imposing gate, passing through a portal underneath the first floor of one office block with a vista toward the fountain. Large frameless windows from the offices on the first floor facing onto the double volume reception area reinforces the courtyard element. Parking was provided for partly in the courtyard and in a basement under one office block.
